(static transfer device)
BodyTel Gate is a static device, which uses the integrated Bluetooth interface to receive the vital values of all BodyTel sensors from the entire living space fully automatically, wirelessly and in real time and then transfers these values to the patient’s personal file (BodyTel Center).
BodyTel Gate does not require any interaction from the user. If necessary, however, further information relevant to treatment (e.g., medication, activities, etc.) can be entered via the large and easy to use touch-display.
BodyTel Gate also makes it possible to display recommendations or instructions from medical staff, who enter these via the BodyTel Center, and thus to support the patient in the active management of his/her illness. BodyTel Gate is thus outstandingly suitable for ambient assisted living (AAL) programs.
For the transfer, BodyTel Gate can either be connected using cables to an existing internet router (DSL) or can communicate wirelessly via the cellular network by means of an integrated SIM card.
BodyTel Gate is ideally suited for use by elderly patients. After a one-off setup, the system continues to function without requiring any further action from the patient. Software updates can be implemented on the device remotely by BodyTel.
For diabetes patients, it is often not sufficient to equip their living space for the real-time transfer of blood glucose measurement values. They may also need or want to transfer their measured values in real time after leaving their home as well as documenting meals eaten and insulin injected in their online record. These requirements are not possible with a static device and require a mobile transfer option. The BodyTel Mobile application was developed for this purpose.
