Measuring blood glucose values
Measuring blood glucose values with the GlucoTel operates the same as most other conventional monitoring devices. For example:
- Wash hands and dry completely
- Insert test strip into the meter
- Prick finger with the lancing device
- Hold the finger until a small drop of blood appears; apply the blood sample to the edge of the test strip
Secure web database
Most other blood glucose meters would require patients to record their results in a log book after the measurement appears on the blood glucose monitor screen. However, with the GlucoTel and its built-in Bluetooth wireless technology module, measured values are now automatically transmitted to a secure web database using the patient’s cell phone as a transmission hub.

It`s easy – Automatic data transmission
There are no buttons to press to transmit the data and you don’t have to use a docking station or downloading cables as you may have in the past. Blood sugar levels are shown directly on the meter’s LCD screen, and for those patients with impaired vision, the results may be read out loud via the cell phone.
Add additional values into the cell phone
BodyTel Mobile (Java application) provides you with the ability to easily add additional values into the cell phone. These values could be meals, medication and activities such as sports, stress levels, etc. This feature is quick and simple and makes the manual task of log book entries a thing of the past.
